TVA NERC-CIP
SBC has installed NERC-CIP equipment in several of TVA's switchyards. This project had a critical in-service date and SBC met the dates on all the sites assigned to us.
TVA AERONAUTICAL LIGHTING
SBC has installed aeronautical lighting on TVA microwave towers and river crossings transmission towers. The river crossing work has been comprised of land based towers as well as towers in the Tennessee river channel. These lighting systems are powered by Solar applications.
TVA MICRO-WAVE
SBC has performed a wholesale replacement of one of TVA's backbone microwave paths. All Radios, coax, wave guides, batteries and associated equipment were changed. This was a redundant path so radio traffic had to be rolled to one path while the other was taken out of service and replaced. This was completed without an outage on the path in service.
